COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

Join us as a Commercial Construction Superintendent. In this role you are responsible for managing and controlling assigned projects, including overseeing all field operations, site safety, productivity, scheduling, quality work, and trade contractor and supplier coordination to complete products within schedule and budget.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProviding leadership and establishing and maintaining effective and positive relationships with and amongst contractors, employees, vendors, government officials, and the publicManaging all contractors and the performance of any direct on site employeesDirecting all field personnel to complete quality projects on schedule, within budget, and within the scope of plans and specificationsScheduling inspections with proper authorities while cooperating with the inspection agenciesInspecting work in progress to ensure that it conforms to specifications and construction schedulesIdentifying and addressing any issues within the projectsProcuring materialsSupervising final punch and performing punch duties as necessaryCollaborate with Project Managers on the supervision of all work operationsEnsuring subcontractors are adhering to all safety procedures and programsRunning and maintaining scheduling softwareAdditional ResponsibilitiesBeing aware of any safety hazards on the job site and correcting themDetermining work priorities and coordinating tasksRecording a daily log of work and condition of job sitesLeading weekly subcontractor meetingsEducation and/or Experience QualificationsFive years experience supervising multi family construction projectsFive years experience in Building ConstructionThree years experience supervising othersThrough knowledge of project objectives, subcontracts, contract drawings, and specificationsExperience with computer software including Mircosoft Office, Mircosoft ProjectExperience using Procore Project Management softwareProcore Certification preferredValid Drivers LicenseOSHA 10 or 30 Hour TrainingCompetencies :Problem solving/analysisExcellent verbal and written communication skillsThrough understanding of construction means and methods across the tradeAbility and interpret construction plansAbility to write routine reports and correspondentsPhysical DemandsAbility to walk, bend, move, climb, crouch.
