Senior Director, Field Operations & Service Delivery New York, NY Our client is looking for a Senior Director, Field Operations & Service Delivery to build out and lead a field organization that can scale with the company's growth. This person will take ownership of installation, service, commissioning, and technical field support across every market the company serves, and will be responsible for turning today's field capabilities into a repeatable, nationally consistent operation. This is a hands-on leadership role: the person in this seat will design the operating systems, training infrastructure, and regional field structure needed to support the company's next stage of growth. ABOUT THE COMPANY Our client is a growth-stage climate-tech company that manages the core energy systems: heating, cooling, water, and related infrastructure inside thousands of buildings across the U.S. Its combined hardware and software platform drives meaningful reductions in energy use, operating cost, and carbon output for building owners. THE OPPORTUNITY As Senior Director, Field Operations & Service Delivery, you'll own the field organization end to end installation crews, service technicians, and commissioning specialists. Your central mandate is building a field operation that can support new-market expansion without sacrificing installation quality or service reliability. You'll build the playbooks: operational frameworks, training curricula, and regional staffing structures that keep installations efficient, service response times fast, and standards consistent no matter where the team is working. Expect close, ongoing collaboration with Customer Service, Logistics, Product, Engineering, and broader Operations to keep field execution in step with company growth and customer expectations. Valid Driver's license is required. WHAT YOU'LL OWN Field Leadership Lead and grow installation, service, and commissioning teams across all active markets Stand up operational structures built to support national-scale growth Set clear accountability and performance metrics across the field organization Market Expansion Design regional coverage and staffing models for new and existing markets Build the framework for standing up new markets quickly and consistently Develop repeatable playbooks that make each new-market launch faster than the last Operational Excellence Raise the bar on installation speed, quality, and consistency Cut service revisit rates through stronger training and tighter process Optimize technician routing, scheduling, and resource allocation Training & Quality Build field training curricula and technical certification programs Set installation standards and commissioning procedures Stand up quality assurance programs across the field organization Cross-Functional Partnership Partner with Customer Service and Scheduling to keep service coverage on track Work with Product and Engineering to route field feedback into product improvements Coordinate with Logistics and Procurement so field teams always have what they need WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Based in or willing to be based in the NYC area A seasoned leader of large-scale field operations or service organizations Equally comfortable setting strategy and rolling up sleeves operationally Highly organized, with strong operational discipline Experienced managing teams across multiple markets and operating environments REQUIREMENTS 8+ years leading field operations, service, or installation teams Track record scaling multi-market or national field organizations Background in HVAC, building systems, construction technology, energy systems, or hardware deployment strongly preferred Demonstrated operational leadership and process-improvement experience WHY THIS ROLE This is a chance to join a fast-growing company at a pivotal stage, working alongside a talented leadership team and playing a direct role in shaping how the organization scales nationally.
