Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with experience in ortho, general, OB/GYN, eyes, urology, and DaVinci procedures for a hospital Surgical Services unit position.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital Surgical Services unit,
• Cases include ortho (total joints), general surgery, OB/GYN (especially C-sections), eyes, and urology,
• Utilizes DaVinci robotic surgical system,
• 12-hour day shifts from 6:30am to 7:00pm, 3 days per week,
• On-call responsibilities per unit needs,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience,
• BLS certification,
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential required,
• License required if applicable,
• High School Diploma or GED,
• Experience with ortho (total joints), general, OB/GYN, eyes, urology, and DaVinci procedures,
• Strong patient care, problem solving, and emergency response skills,

Additional Information

• Assist the surgical team during the intra-operative period across a variety of specialties,
• Prepare, handle, and maintain surgical instrumentation and equipment,
• Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts according to policy and procedure,
• Adapt care and equipment use based on patient age, from neonate through geriatric populations,
• Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, the metric system, and aseptic technique,
• Recognize and respond effectively to urgent or emergency situations during procedures,
• Maintain adherence to professional standards of practice
