Senior Physical Therapist - Home Care Specialist

Position Overview

ProFlex Sports and Wellness is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Fallon, Nevada. This full-time position invites you to leverage your expertise to help patients recover from various injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions in a comfortable home care environment. You will engage in collaborative efforts with healthcare professionals including physicians, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers to create personalized treatment plans that cater to individual patient needs.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in a home care setting, where you will visit patients in their homes to provide therapeutic support. Your regular work hours will be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a balanced work-life schedule while delivering impactful patient care. You'll work independently but with ample support from a multidisciplinary team focused on optimizing patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations of patients to assess their physical function, strength, and mobility.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic techniques to identify treatment needs and develop customized therapy strategies.
• Create and implement individualized therapy programs aimed at restoring functionality, alleviating pain, and enhancing overall well-being.
• Employ various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and neuromuscular re-education, ensuring a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation.
• Educate patients and their families regarding injury prevention, rehabilitation processes, and personalized home exercise programs.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to establish a cohesive approach to patient care and improve clinical outcomes.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers to facilitate an optimal rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. This varied caseload will allow you to employ specialized therapeutic techniques tailored to each patient's unique circumstances, enhancing their recovery experience.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Nevada.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement patient-specific treatment plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective patient interaction and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• A passion for helping patients achieve meaningful recovery and maintaining a positive attitude in clinical interactions.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, with previous work in an orthopedic outpatient context strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with home care models and experience working in a patient-centered environment.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

ProFlex Sports and Wellness offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes:
