Manufacturing Quality EngineerApex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Manufacturing Quality Engineer for our client based out of Macungie, PA.This assignment is anticipated to be a 3-month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.This will also have a first-shift Monday–Friday schedule.Responsibilities:Support production quality initiatives by ensuring manufacturing processes consistently meet quality standards and customer requirements.Investigate quality concerns, nonconformances, and production issues, driving containment actions, corrective actions, and long-term preventive solutions.Lead and facilitate structured problem-solving activities using root cause analysis methodologies.Serve as the primary quality liaison between manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, and other cross-functional teams.Coordinate quality activities within assigned manufacturing areas to support operational and business objectives.Analyze internal and external quality performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.Develop, maintain, and communicate quality performance metrics, dashboards, charts, and reports to stakeholders.Support implementation and compliance of quality systems, procedures, and standards.Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, Kaizen events, and quality improvement projects.Coordinate and support quality-related training activities for production teams.Assist with documentation, audits, and compliance activities related to quality management systems.Drive a culture of quality awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing environment.Experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.OR Associate degree in Engineering with 2+ years of manufacturing experience.OR Quality Inspection certification or equivalent quality experience with 2+ years of quality inspection experience.Experience working in a manufacturing, production, quality, or engineering environment preferred.Experience utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies such as:Root Cause AnalysisNonconformance InvestigationsKaizen5W2HFishbone AnalysisCorrective and Preventive ActionsAbility to analyze quality and operational data to identify trends and drive improvements.Strong understanding of technical specifications, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects within a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.Technical Skills:Microsoft ExcelMicrosoft WordMicrosoft PowerPointPower BIExperience working with quality metrics, dashboards, reporting tools, and performance analytics.Ability to maintain organized quality documentation and records.Nice to Have:Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.Six Sigma certification or quality improvement training.Experience supporting ISO quality systems and audit activities.Manufacturing quality engineering experience in high-volume production environments.Experience leading Kaizen events and cross-functional improvement initiatives.Why Work for Apex Systems:We offer weekly pay, direct deposit, competitive pay ratesHealth/Medical benefits, Life Insurance, 401k, Employee Stock Purchase ProgramDiscounts to most major certification programs, access to multiple technical training platforms and programsApex offers a range of supplemental benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other insurance plans that offer an optional layer of financial protection.
