Traveling Field Service Technician II Location: US-TX-Dallas | US-KS-Kansas City | US-MO-St. Louis | US-IL-Chicago Company: Canon U.S.A., Inc. About the Role Spotting a solution and fixing a problem requires a tremendous technical skillset. If you are diligent, determined, and keen to apply your knowledge, Canon USA wants to meet you. Join our team as a Traveling Field Service Technician in a role that is predominantly field‑based, requiring 75‑80% travel. Most installs last 5‑8 days, including a weekend. Your Impact Work with cutting‑edge Canon equipment and technologies. Build strong relationships with customers through direct on‑site service. Receive ongoing training and opportunities for career growth in a supportive, team‑oriented environment. Travel extensively within the U.S. to install Canon Ink Jet products. Diagnose mechanical, software, network, and system issues using established procedures. Deliver high‑quality, professional on‑site service to meet or exceed customer expectations. Complete Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and maintain all assigned Canon property. Assist with escalated technical or customer service issues and guide less experienced technicians. About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent plus 1‑2 years of technical or field service experience. Basic understanding of internet/network environments. A strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to complete the 20‑day PDIF training. Willingness and ability to travel extensively (75‑80%), including overnight stays typically lasting up to two weeks. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Ability to lift 50 lbs and stay active for most of the workday. Comfortable with shift work; installs will involve overtime and weekend work. Travel Note: This role is predominantly field‑based and designed for technicians who enjoy being on the road most of the time. It is not intended to be a service position in a local city. Compensation: $21.50 – $30.75 hourly, with a transportation allowance. Workstyle Description Virtual – This position is considered virtual. The office will be open five days a week; however, you will not be required to report to the office unless there is a specific business need. Work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.
