Product Engineer-Surface and Color Development

Product Engineer – Surface and Color Development Full‑time position. Responsibilities Develop surface and color solutions for automotive interior and exterior trim components. Determine color, gloss and surface pattern issues on interior trim surfaces. Apply PEP applicable surface and color development tools and techniques such as DFMEA, DVP&R, appearance and approval submissions, CAD, and corrective actions. Prepare and submit appearance and approval documentation. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support product development. Qualifications A minimum of 3 years automotive industry experience. Bachelor’s degree in wood technology, color development chemistry, or a related field. Experience with wood deco, wood surface treatments, stains, sealers and color development. Experience with automotive interior/exterior trim components. Bilingual in English and German or English and Spanish. Proficiency in DFMEA, DVP&R, appearance submission, CAD and corrective actions.
