Circulating And Scrub Registered Nurse (Rn)

We are seeking a skilled Circulating And Scrub Registered Nurse (Rn) to join our team. This role requires a strong clinical background and the ability to provide safe, evidence-based care to surgical patients throughout the perioperative phases.

Responsibilities

• Function as the circulating nurse by coordinating patient care, maintaining a sterile environment, documenting surgical procedures, advocating for patient safety, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Act as the scrub nurse, establishing and maintaining the sterile field, anticipating the needs of the surgeon, and managing the surgical instruments and supplies.
• Collaborate with surgical teams including surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate proficiency across multiple surgical specialties, including general surgery, hand surgery, gynecology, obstetrics, ophthalmology, podiatry, ENT, and endoscopy.
• Participate in emergency and trauma procedures and respond effectively to changes in patient conditions.
• Assist with inventory management, quality improvement initiatives, and orientation of new staff as needed.
• Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to fluctuating surgical volumes and staffing needs.
• Promote a culture of patient safety, professionalism, and continuous learning while adhering to organizational policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (Rn) licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support (Bls) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acs) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) as required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting.
• Demonstrated competency in both circulating and scrub roles.
• Experience in a rural healthcare setting is preferred.
• Experience with Epic electronic health records is required.

Shift Information

This position is for full-time work, consisting of 5 shifts of 8 hours per week. Holiday coverage may be required.
