We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager who has a passion for nature to help oversee the operations of our retail store. The Store Manager will be responsible for assisting the owner in managing everyday aspects of the store, including sales, customer service, community engagement, inventory management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management and possess excellent leadership and communication skills. Responsibilities
- Day-to-day operations of the store, including managing inventory, ordering products, customer service, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve the operations of the store.
- Directs, coaches, and develops talents within the team on best practices and high-level customer engagement.
- HR duties within the store such as hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Implements the Marketing Planner as directed.
- Prepares displays, signing, and staffing for upcoming promotions and events.
- Fosters an active Community Outreach program.
- Must have at least 1 to 3 years of retail management experience.
- Interest in the backyard bird feeding hobby or nature.
- Must have basic computer knowledge, such as Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn a retail POS system.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and be on your feet for long periods.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including weekends, and working during busy holiday periods and sales.
- Must pay attention to detail.
- Must be a proactive, self-starter who takes pride in their work.
- No peanut, seed, or animal allergies (we have a store cat who lives here)
