Registered Nurse - ICU
Location Fredericksburg, TX
Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule Shift: 1900-0700
Job Description The ICU Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients' conditions, collaborating with healthcare teams, and executing essential care protocols.
Responsibilities Implement and oversee the execution of STEMI and stroke protocols. Administer conscious sedation, chest tubes, and monitor for emergencies. Perform intubations and manage patient codes. Utilize equipment such as Philips monitors, Lifepak 20e defibrillator, and Verathon bladder scanner. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure 3+ years of recent ICU experience. Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS. Previous experience in a charge role is preferred.
