Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Fellow

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Fellow Full‑time, one‑year training position located in Lynn, MA, United States. Salary: $130,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually. Work hours: 40 per week. Summary Training position for a master’s level nurse eligible to obtain state and federal licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist. The fellow will receive supervision from two providers in prescribing essentials, attend in‑house training with post‑docs and NP students, and provide psychiatric consultation to case managers, medical, mental health, and substance abuse providers, as well as community providers. Responsibilities include triage of psychiatric inpatient admissions, discharge planning, charting medication and progress notes, and completing quality assurance activities for the Quality Assurance Committee. The fellow will attend case conferences, consult with other agencies and schools, and deliver direct psychodiagnostics, psychotherapeutic treatments, and medication management to registered clients of the Health Center. Community outreach efforts also include serving as a health consultant for Lynn Public Schools, local day‑care centers, after‑school programs, day camps, and other community organizations, providing programmatic consultation, policy review, health screenings, and health education programs. Qualifications Graduate degree in a mental‑health related area. Licensure or license‑eligible to practice psychiatric nursing in Massachusetts. Certified or eligible as a Psychiatric Nurse Clinical Specialist in Massachusetts (APRN). History of good attendance and a positive work attitude. Responsibilities Provide biopsychosocial clinical evaluations using DSM‑IV diagnoses. Design client‑centered treatment plans with appropriate interventions. Provide ongoing treatment evaluation and redesign. Deliver direct care to multi‑problem patients and their families. Participate on interdisciplinary team. Provide psychotherapy to registered LCHC patients. Maintain required patient records. Participate in case conferences and present cases for peer review.
