Auto Technician - General Service (Part-Time)

Overview Company Cox Automotive — USA. Job family: Vehicle Operations. Job profile: Auto Technician - General Service. Flexible work option: No remote option; must work at a specified Cox location. Travel: None. Work shift: Day. Compensation: Hourly base pay rate is $16.63 - $24.90/hour. The base rate may vary by location and candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation including commissions or incentive programs. Schedule: Part-Time; Sunday–Tuesday or Thursday–Saturday. What You’ll Do Perform light-duty auto technician work at an intermediate level. Gain familiarity with auto maintenance concepts and practices. Perform auto maintenance duties including oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes, transmission flush, spark plug replacement, and vehicle inspections. Perform battery testing, maintenance, and repair of starting and charging electrical systems. Perform various repairs including tires, safety inspections, and interior/exterior components. Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering and suspension systems. Evacuate and recharge air conditioning systems. Perform maintenance on equipment and use approved vendors to obtain parts. May upfit new vehicles with necessary equipment. Comply with procedures and regulations regarding recyclables, fluids, tires, and waste disposal. Who You Are / Qualifications Required: 1 or more years of related work experience. Ability to drive standard, automatic, and electric vehicles. Safe driver with a valid driver’s license. Preferred: High school diploma or GED. Drug Testing To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test.
