Maintenance Technician I

Maintenance TechnicianAs a Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep our manufacturing equipment operating safely and reliably through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes a practical approach to problem solving, and takes pride in keeping things running the way they should.Essential FunctionsPerform routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunctionsConduct tests to ensure proper machine functionalityComplete preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failures and downtimeDiagnose mechanical and electrical equipment malfunctionsRepair machinery and equipment using appropriate tools and techniquesReplace worn or damaged parts as neededRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requestsMaintain accurate maintenance and repair recordsFollow all safety and environmental policies and proceduresMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaPerform other duties as requiredEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment requiredExperience maintaining powder coating paint systems preferredExperience repairing CNC equipment preferredExperience repairing welding equipment preferredQualificationsWorking knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in manufacturing equipmentAbility to diagnose equipment issues and perform repairsProficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize work and respond effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to work first shift (6AM – 3PM)Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed0-2 years equipment repair experiencePhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee regularly works in a manufacturing environment and is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, and varying temperatures. The employee may occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, and the risk of electrical shock. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
