Location: Rockville, MD preferred; Washington, DC metro area strongly preferred, with travel to customer and partner sites as needed.

Role Overview:

ExpediteInfoTech is looking for a high-impact Director of Business Development, SLED , to architect and lead our growth strategy across State, Local, and Education accounts. As a key member of our leadership team, you will identify, qualify, and shape strategic opportunities that leverage ExpediteInfoTech's cutting-edge capabilities in Cloud Modernization, Cybersecurity (Zero Trust), AI/ML, and Enterprise IT solutions.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned growth executive who blends deep SLED market intelligence with a disciplined approach to business development. You should possess an extensive professional network-including agency executives, procurement officials, and strategic channel partners-and have a proven track record of capturing complex IT service contracts.

Strategic Impact & Ownership:

In this role, you will hold full lifecycle ownership of the SLED pipeline. Your core responsibility is to identify the opportunity to successful capture, proposal contribution, and seamless delivery transition.

Core Focus Areas:

• Market Shaping: Positioning ExpediteInfoTech as a premier partner for IT Solutions, Cloud, Data Analytics, and Automation within the public sector.
• Relationship Management: Deepening ties with CIOs, program leaders, OEMs, Primes, and Partners.
• Pipeline Excellence: Driving high-win-probability opportunities through rigorous qualification and strategic capture support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Growth: Design and execute a multi-year SLED growth strategy targeting priority states, local jurisdictions, and educational institutions.
• Pipeline Excellence: Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of new opportunities, task orders, and statewide contract vehicles.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Establish trusted relationships with CIOs, CISOs, procurement officials, and program leaders to showcase the company's capabilities.
• Solution Alignment: Partner with technical teams to align customer needs with our capabilities in Cloud, cybersecurity, Zero Trust, AI/ML, automation, data, ERP, software development, testing, PMO, and staffing.
• Capture Leadership: Lead account planning, competitive assessments, and teaming strategies; support the proposal team to ensure high-win probability. Identify customer priorities, budget signals, policy drivers, procurement roadmaps, and incumbent landscapes to better understand the opportunities early.
• Partnership Management: Cultivate a strategic partner network, including OEMs and local small business ecosystems, to enhance market reach.
• Attending Events: Represent ExpediteInfoTech at industry events, association meetings, procurement forums, and customer engagements to expand brand visibility and generate qualified leads.
• Accountability: Maintain accurate pipeline, call plans, opportunity status, and forecast data in CRM and support monthly growth reviews with executive leadership.

Required qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years of proven success in Business Development or Capture Leadership within the SLED technology sector.
• Market Intelligence: Deep expertise in SLED procurement models, budget cycles, and cooperative purchasing vehicles.
• Track Record: Demonstrated ability to advance a pipeline from lead generation to contract award in IT services or digital transformation.
• Communication: Executive-level presence with the ability to draft compelling briefings, white papers, and presentations.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

• Public Sector Leadership: 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, capture management, or growth leadership, with a specialized focus on the SLED (State, Local, and Education) market.
• Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in building and advancing multi-million dollar pipelines, with a history of securing high-value wins across technology services, digital transformation, and government IT solutions.
• SLED Market Intelligence: Deep domain expertise in public sector procurement models, including mastery of contract vehicles, cooperative purchasing approaches, and government budget cycles.
• Executive Relationship Management: A verified ability to cultivate and maintain high-level trust with senior government officials, procurement stakeholders, and strategic industry partners.
• Collaborative Excellence: Extensive experience leading in matrixed environments, seamlessly aligning with delivery, pricing, and proposal teams to transform complex opportunities into successful bids.
• Strategic Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills, with the ability to craft compelling executive-level briefings, white papers, and competitive opportunity presentations.
• Academic Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent senior-level professional experience).
