Job Summary:

Nova Biomedical is seeking an experienced Project Manager II to lead medium-to-large, highly visible initiatives that advance strategic priorities across the enterprise.

Working within Nova Biomedical’s Enterprise Project Management Office, the Project Manager II will independently manage projects from initiation through planning, execution, testing, implementation, hypercare, and stabilization. This role will translate strategic objectives into integrated execution plans, coordinate multiple cross-functional workstreams, and drive governance, risk management, financial control, stakeholder alignment, change adoption, and measurable business outcomes.

The successful candidate will be a proactive, business-minded leader who can influence without direct authority, bring structure to complex initiatives, and provide leaders with clear recommendations and decision-ready project information.

Responsibilities:

• Lead medium-to-large projects from initiation through planning, execution, testing, implementation, hypercare, and stabilization.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, governance, success measures, and acceptance criteria in alignment with business goals.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, critical paths, dependencies, and resource requirements.
• Manage project delivery against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and intended business outcomes.
• Adjust project plans appropriately when priorities, risks, resources, or business conditions change.
• Drive accountability across project teams and ensure commitments, decisions, and follow-up actions are completed on time.
• Facilitate project governance meetings, steering committee reviews, and executive updates.
• Prepare concise project status reports and decision packages that clearly present facts, options, trade-offs, recommendations, and required actions.
• Maintain project roadmaps, risk, action, issue, and dependency logs, decision logs, action logs, and governance records that provide clear traceability.
• Serve as a trusted source of project information for business sponsors, functional leaders, and Enterprise Project Management Office leadership.
• Escalate issues early with an assessment of potential impact, recommended solutions, and clearly defined decisions required from leadership.
• Coordinate parallel business, technical, process, change-management, training, testing, and implementation workstreams within a single project.
• Coordinate project activities across Operations, Quality, Information Technology, Commercial, Regulatory, Finance, Supply Chain, Research and Development, Human Resources, and external partners.
• Manage cross-project dependencies and identify resource constraints, competing priorities, and sequencing issues that may affect delivery.
• Align business owners, functional leaders, technical leads, consultants, and project teams around priorities, timelines, responsibilities, and key decisions.
• Provide day-to-day direction to project team members.
• Coordinate the work of Project Manager I peers supporting assigned initiatives when appropriate.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor corrective actions through completion.
• Facilitate issue resolution and lead recovery planning when projects deviate from established plans.
• Support organizational change-management activities to improve stakeholder adoption and business readiness.
• Develop project communication plans and stakeholder-engagement strategies.
• Support the development and monitoring of project budgets.
• Track project spending, forecast variances, and identify potential financial impacts.
• Coordinate project resource planning with functional leaders.
• Apply established Enterprise Project Management Office standards, methodologies, templates, tools, and governance processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project-management practices, processes, and tools.
• Coach junior project managers and project team members on project-management processes and tools.
• Use AI-enabled project-management tools to improve planning, reporting, analysis, efficiency, and decision-making.
• Build productive relationships with business sponsors, functional leaders, technical teams, consultants, and external partners.
• Improve visibility, alignment, and accountability across project teams.
• Deliver projects that meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, business-readiness, and intended business objectives.
• Demonstrate measurable business value through successful project outcomes.
• Contribute to the continued maturity and effectiveness of Nova Biomedical’s Enterprise Project Management Office.

Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, Information Technology, or a related field required.
• 5+ years of project-management experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Demonstrated success delivering projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, resources, and business-readiness activities.
• Experience leading projects through planning, execution, testing, implementation, hypercare, and stabilization.
• Strong understanding of project governance, status reporting, decision management, risk management, and issue escalation.
• Ability to create and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, critical paths, and dependency tracking.
• Experience coordinating business, technical, process, training, change-management, and implementation workstreams.
• Experience preparing executive-level status reports, recommendations, presentations, and decision packages.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive decisions without direct authority.
• Ability to bring structure to complex projects and translate strategic priorities into actionable delivery plans.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives, priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using project-management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms.
• Project Management Professional certification or an equivalent project-management credential preferred.
• Experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
• Exposure to enterprise business systems such as SAP, Salesforce, or comparable platforms preferred.
• Experience supporting process improvement, business transformation, or post-acquisition integration initiatives preferred.
• Experience using AI tools to improve project planning, reporting, analysis, and operational efficiency preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Comfort with working at a computer for extended periods.
• Capacity to lift and carry up to [25–50] pounds as required
• Able to communicate effectively via phone, video, and written communication.
• Occasional need to move about the office to access meetings or resources.

Work Location: Hybrid work schedule in Waltham, MA (M-Th Onsite)

Targeted Salary Range: $91,000 to $121,000 annually

Actual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and may vary based on individual factors such as location, skills, and education.
