Role Description The Assistant Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role. This position supports project managers in coordinating plumbing, heating, and mechanical projects from planning through completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, tracking materials and equipment, coordinating with expeditors, and monitoring progress to ensure timely delivery of work. The role also involves preparing and reviewing documentation, supporting inspections, communicating with vendors, subcontractors, and clients, and helping resolve logistical and scheduling issues. The Assistant Project Manager works closely with field teams and office staff to maintain project quality, safety standards, and budget and timeline requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams and external partners.
• Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., MS Office) and ability to learn project management tools.

Experience in construction, plumbing, mechanical, or related fields is preferred.
