Senior Occupancy Planner

About the Role Senior Occupancy Planner – responsible for partnering with end users to develop innovative space solutions, ensuring the delivery of planning services, and managing and reporting occupancy data in alignment with workplace programs and strategy. Responsibilities Space Planning & Analysis: Develop space plans, test fits, and occupancy scenarios to support business needs and initiatives; support the hybrid workplace strategy and identify opportunities for space improvements based on occupancy data; conduct occupancy studies and utilization analyses; assist in creating move plans and sequencing for office relocations and reconfigurations. Data Management & Reporting: Generate regular occupancy reports, visualizations, and space allocation/utilization reports; collect, validate, and maintain accurate occupancy data in CAFM/IWMS systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency. Stakeholder Support: Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to translate space requirements into occupancy solutions; develop and deliver clear, concise presentations; communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams; assist in preparing materials for stakeholder meetings; respond to inquiries regarding space allocations. Process Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies; contribute to the development and refinement of occupancy planning processes and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in occupancy planning, space management, or a related area. Familiarity with workplace strategy concepts and hybrid work environments. Strong analytical skills for working with complex datasets. Proactive problem‑solving and process‑improvement mindset. Collaborative team orientation and ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in AutoCAD and CAFM/IWMS systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities and executive presence. Effective communication with various levels of management and clients. Adaptability, willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment. High attention to detail and accuracy in data management and space planning. Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of office design principles and trends, such as mobile or collaborative workplaces. Location & Compensation Location: On‑site – Tysons, VA Estimated compensation: 105,000.00 – 120,000.00 USD per year (actual compensation may differ).
