Resident Engineer, Cable Stay Structures

GFT is seeking a Resident Engineer with long-span bridge experience, specifically with cable stay structures, to join our Construction Services Group in New Jersey. What you’ll be challenged to do: As a Resident Engineer, you will oversee the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Provide overall leadership and management for construction projects. Maintain comprehensive construction project records. Oversee interactions with clients and inspection staff on contract change orders, item payments, and material testing. Conduct project meetings and prepare meeting minutes. Develop monthly progress reports and monthly payments. What you will bring to our firm: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering.Prior experience as a Resident Engineer on Cable Stay or other Long Span Bridges. Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in construction inspection procedures and management. OSHA 30, Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI), ACI and other Relevant Structural, Bridge, and Material Certifications.NICET, AMPP, TCC, NJSAT certifications are preferred. Experience with NJTA Projects, Inspection Procedures, Specifications, and Programs is preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to project site.What we prefer you bring:New Jersey PE License preferred….or ability to obtain through reciprocityCompensation:The salary range for this role is $180,000 - $290,000 per year. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
