Precast BIM Technician

Summary of Job This position is an entry level, non-engineering track position, responsible in preparing BIM documents for AG&E precast projects in a coordinated team environment. This includes BIM modeling of erection plans, components, connections, details, and piece tickets. Duties include coordination of architectural, civil, structural and MEP plans, elevations, and details, along with coordination with precast manufacturers. Work under the direction of precast engineers, precast BIM Specialist, and precast BIM Manager. Qualifications Junior College Associates Degree, Technical College Degree or equivalent work- and industry-related experience; or Bachelors in Architectural, Civil, Industrial, or Structural Engineering, or Bachelors in Architecture Technology or equivalent work- or industry-related experience Minimum eight (8) years of experience in producing precast documents Requirements Basic communication skills, including verbal and written Able to: work from verbal and written technical direction with minimal guidance from senior staff work effectively within a team environment with a group of diverse professionals organize and manage own time effectively organize, plan, and perform tasks effectively read and interpret technical and construction documents continuously strives to advance skills with effort inside and outside office back check own work and strives for quality Expert understanding of: commercially-available office software (Word, Excel, Adobe/Bluebeam, etc.) CAD and BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Tekla or equivalent Able to work extended periods (multiple hours) of the day at a computer Responsibilities Prepare ALL work in accordance with approved office processes, formats and standards Work on assigned tasks, under direction of engineering staff, preparing required documents in CAD or BIM Work on prospects for sales developing presentations using Revit, Tekla or other 3D modeling platforms Perform tasks accurately and on time with necessary guidance, and proactively seek advice on tasks as needed Meet task deadlines and adhere to budgeted hours Volunteer to work hours needed to meet deadlines Volunteer to work additional hours to assist other (not assigned work) to meet deadlines When asked, works hours needed to meet deadlines When asked, works additional hours to assist others (not assigned work) to meet deadlines Participate in external/in-house seminars and training activities/sessions Perform other duties as assigned Benefits of Joining AG&E Competitive salary 2 Performance Bonuses per year Dental, Vision, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability benefits covered at no cost to the employee 19 days of time off per year #J-18808-Ljbffr Age SE
