Licensed Vocational Nurse II - 6913US:CA:Carlsbad | Nursing & Clinical | Full Time, Hourly, 36+ hours a week40.00 - 44.00 USD per hourPosted a week agoDescriptionCarlsbad By the Sea Retirement Community is Hiring!Licensed Vocational Nurse IIFull Time: PM Shift, Friday - Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.(Off on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and every 3rd Sunday)Pay Range: $40.00 - $44.00 per hourSummary:Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the LVN 2 is responsible for meeting the needs of our residents and supervising CNAs / Nurses Aids to ensure quality resident care.Detailed Responsibilities:Licensed Vocational Nurse 2 - Provides quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfactionArrives to work on time, in proper clean uniform, good personal hygiene and with nametag visibleCoordinates and performs resident assessments and plan of care evaluations when appropriateCoordinates and performs needed treatments, medications or other nursing interventions as indicated by the patient plan of care or as ordered by the physicianEnsures all needed emergency measures are followed as per facility policy and within standards of nursing practiceMaintains inventory of medical supplies and medications to meet patient/resident needsEnsures that all patient/resident rights are protectedMaintains all documentation as required by Federal and State regulations and Company policyPerforms all duties in a safe and efficient mannerUses equipment correctly and safely in performing patient/resident careFollows department safety protocols at all timesWears safety equipment as required for the jobReports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisorFollows highest standards of cleanlinessFollows all federal, state and corporate policies, health codes and guidelines in preparation and handling of foodstuffsAttends all mandatory in-service meetingsComplies with all department and facilities policies and proceduresGreets residents, personnel, vendors and families as they enter the ClinicAnswers incoming calls to the Clinic and responds to the emergency call systemSchedules in-house doctor's appointments; lab work (including forms); and transportation requestsCoordinates and performs needed treatments, medications or other nursing interventions as neededOrdering and inventory concerning resident's prescription requests; treatment room supplies; and office suppliesCharts and maintain and custodian of medical recordsMonitor fire alarms and dispatch 911Performs variety of clerical duties necessary to keep area organized and running in an efficient mannerFront Porch is committed to the prevention of accidents by providing equipment with safeguards, personal safety equipment on jobs which require it, and adequate safety instructions to all employeesAll employees are required to follow safe work habits in order to prevent injuries to themselves, residents, visitors or other employeesCompetencies and skills: Essential:Must be able to understand, follow, support and initiate policies and procedures of the facility.Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.Must be able to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately.Credentials: Essential:Licensed Vocational Nurse - CaliforniaFirst Aid certificateEducation with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential:2-year College or technical schoolExperience with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential:1 Year RN/LVN experience providing direct carePrevious long-term care, geriatric and/or rehabilitative nurse experience highly preferredCompensation Disclaimer: The actual compensation offered will depend on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, training, education, and licensure/certifications (as applicable).Front Porch is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
