The Opportunity

Jenkins Plumbing and Heating Co is seeking an ambitious Senior HVAC & Plumbing Solutions Sales Consultant to join our established business development team in Pleasantville, NJ.

In this central field sales position, you will drive revenue expansion across Atlantic City and the surrounding South Jersey submarkets—performing on-site building assessments, designing custom HVAC and plumbing solutions, and presenting high-value residential and commercial service agreements. Working with a community-focused mechanical contractor, you will collaborate with internal estimators and field installation crews to ensure seamless project execution. Key Responsibilities

• B2B & Residential Account Acquisition: Cultivate and expand strategic relationships with residential property owners, commercial facility directors, building managers, and general contractors across South Jersey.
• Technical On-Site Assessments: Conduct thorough site walk-throughs to evaluate existing plumbing, hydronic heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems; design tailored replacement or upgrade solutions.
• Proposal & Contract Engineering: Calculate, assemble, and present detailed project cost estimates, mechanical system options, and preventative maintenance service agreements to decision-makers.
• Pipeline & CRM Management: Prospect for new business opportunities, manage lead conversion stages, track client follow-ups, and update pipeline data within corporate CRM software.
• Operational Handoff Coordination: Partner directly with project estimators, service dispatchers, and installation superintendents to ensure seamless transition from signed contract to field execution.
• Market & Product Intelligence: Maintain continuous knowledge of emerging HVAC/plumbing technologies (e.g., heat pumps, tankless systems, high-efficiency boilers), regional pricing trends, and rebate programs.
• Incentive Target Execution: Participate actively in corporate sales promotions and performance contests to maximize individual contract yields and commission earnings.

What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)

Required

• Consultative Sales Track Record: Proven track record in B2B or direct-to-consumer technical sales, with strong presentation, negotiation, and closing capabilities.
• Technical Blueprint Literacy: Functional ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, plumbing schematics, architectural prints, and technical material specs.
• Tech & Software Proficiency: Comfortable navigating smartphone/tablet tools, Microsoft Office 365, and mobile CRM sales platforms.
• Mobility & Driver Credentials: Valid Driver License with an insurable driving record to operate company-provided service vehicles.

Preferred

• Trade Industry Experience: 2 or more years of hands-on sales or technical estimating experience within HVAC, plumbing, hydronic heating, or commercial building services.
• Regional Market Network: Established connections with South Jersey commercial property managers, real estate developers, or facility directors.
