Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: The primary purpose of your job position is to plan organize and manage the daily operation of the Dietary Department at the PACE Organization (PO) which includes but not limited to overseeing maintenance/cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen; monitor portion control, appropriate serving of food; and adherence to therapeutic diets, purchasing and inventory of food. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Dietary Manager to lead the daily operations of our Dietary Department within a PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) setting. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, nutritious, and high-quality meal services that support participant health, wellness, and dietary needs. Key Responsibilities Manage daily dietary department operations, including food preparation, meal service, sanitation, inventory, and purchasing. Ensure compliance with therapeutic diets, portion control standards, and food safety regulations. Supervise, coach, and develop dietary staff while fostering a positive team environment. Maintain kitchen cleanliness, equipment safety, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures. Conduct weekly and monthly food inventories and manage departmental budgets and expenditures. Collaborate with administration and the dietitian to coordinate special functions and catered events. Interact with participants to enhance their dining experience and overall satisfaction. Participate in food production activities, including cooking, baking, and meal preparation as needed. Promote Trinity Health PACE's mission, values, and commitment to quality care. Conduct initial and annual comprehensive nutritional assessment on all participants. Coordinates with the interdisciplinary team to develop a comprehensive care plan for each participant. Monitor monthly weights, medical diagnosis, drug nutrient interactions, reports changes to the interdisciplinary team and makes recommendations for changes to appropriate staff. Perform initial and annual competencies on the Dietary Aide(s). Oversee maintenance/cleanliness and orderliness of serving kitchen. Act as a liaison with contracted meal service to ensure meals meet the needs of the PACE participants Provide education and training to health care professionals as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field preferred; Registered Dietitian credentials are a plus. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in quantity food preparation within healthcare, hospitality, senior living, or a related industry. Supervisory experience required. ServSafe Certification required or ability to obtain within three months of hire. Strong leadership, budgeting, communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to changing priorities.
