Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric to geriatric populations utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create customized treatment strategies focusing on both immediate goals and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that cover communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Work in tandem with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop seamless care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond clinical settings.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, promoting continuity of care throughout the rehabilitation journey.
• Ensure meticulous and timely documentation that complies with all applicable guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities and peer collaborations.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who have not yet achieved ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Appropriate state licensure for practicing as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.
