Job DescriptionEffectively check guests into and out of the resort by performing the following duties.
As a Front Desk Agent , you will:
- Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
- Issue room key and escort instructions to Bellhop.
- Date stamps, sorts, and racks incoming mail and messages.
- Transmit and receive telephone messages.
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
- Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts.
- Compute bill, collect payment, and make change for guests.
- Make and confirm reservations.
- Post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone, to ledger.
- Make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservation, and arranges for tours.
- Assist guests with deposit of guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box.
- Nightly bucket checks
- Able to listen and find solutions to guests problems
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred but not required
- Experience handling cash, credit card transactions, or using a point-of-sale system is helpful
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and be able to regularly lift, pull, push and or/move up to 10 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for up to eight (8) hours.
- Comfortable using phones and basic computer systems
- Additional hospitality or customer service training is a plus
