Welder/Fitter

Location: Burgettstown Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fitter. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of technical drawings and blueprints. This role involves assembling, installing, and repairing machinery and structural components, ensuring all work meets stringent safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Assemble and install machinery, equipment, and structures following blueprints and engineering specifications. Analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine the layout and dimensions required for the project. Select the appropriate welding equipment and tools based on the project requirements. Construct structural components from raw materials. Repair machinery and components by welding and filling gaps as necessary. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Maintain and clean all metal fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery regularly. Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in math and science. State certification in welding. Proven experience as a fitter with a solid understanding of local and state building codes. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Ability to interpret blueprints for mechanical systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to concentrate for extended periods. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. Exceptional welding and mechanical skills. Physical capability to lift 50 or more pounds and work in confined spaces.
