Job Title: Med Surg/Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year recent experience required License: NY State License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - MS/Tele experience - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias - Use of Rapid Response/Code teams - Peripheral Line Care/Management - Oxygen administration and management - Non-invasive airway management - Isolation precautions Description: We are seeking a Med Surg/Tele RN who can provide high-quality nursing care. The RN will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on Med Surg and Telemetry patients. Floating may be required based on facility needs. The RN will be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms independently. The role involves the interpretation of telemetry strips and appropriate clinical interventions. Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required. All requested time off must be provided during the submittal process. Medical and religious exemptions for COVID-19 and flu vaccines are allowed. The RN must pass a telemetry assessment during orientation to demonstrate competency. The assessment includes identification of heart blocks, various arrhythmias, and appropriate interventions. Continuous education and remedial assessments will be provided if needed. Candidate must be in good standing without any hits on their nursing license. Previous travelers are welcome to apply as long as they meet the eligibility criteria. First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on experience.
