Human Resource Assistant 2 - State Correctional Institution Houtzdale

As a Human Resource Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties: Time Management: Review attendance data, adjust records, and monitor compliance with policies Payroll Coordination: Evaluate time issues, apply correct pay rules, and ensure accurate system coding Leave Processing: Coordinate military leave, extraordinary leave requests, and donation program forms Record Oversight: Audit departmental timekeepers and track required reports for central office System Administration: Enter Cross Application Time Sheets (CATS) data, maintain temporary working out of class (TWOC) logs, and prepare reports based on policy requirements Employee Support: Assist staff with FMLA documentation, personnel files, and accreditation standards Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in SCI Houtzdale. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements One year as a Human Resource Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or One year of clerical or other comparable experience and one year of beginning level paraprofessional human resource or equal opportunity work; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
