Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Our Advanced Radar Department has an immediate need for a Senior Development Support Electrical Engineer. We are looking for candidates to collaborate and coordinate with our manufacturing facility, Program Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to proactively and efficiently resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration. In this role, you will foster a culture of trust, transparency, compliance, diversity, inclusion, and accountability. This position will reside within the Cabin Production Design Support section that supports the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) program. What You Will Do: Troubleshooting hardware and issues down to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), server, switch, and/or component levels to include analog/digital/power circuitry and interfacesPerform technical evaluations of hardware with the ability to categorize failures and systematically disposition failing hardware in a timely mannerPrioritize and execute improvement opportunitiesCommunicate to program leadership status updates Partnering in the development of test equipment and establishment of test requirements and proceduresAbility to travel periodically to different Raytheon facilities, suppliers, and/or customer sites to support in-person meetings and system integration efforts (up to 25%)What You Will Learn:Fault isolation / troubleshooting at the system to WRA/LRU/Sub-system levelPrototyping and understanding leading edge technology in support of the programWorking in dynamic environment and supporting hardware team in preparation of formal design reviewsGain experience with Digital Electronics that apply to Advanced Airborne RadarsQualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in a role such as design engineer, production support engineer, network engineer, or process engineer.Experience with analysis of technical dataExperience with schematic drawings to assist in troubleshooting efforts.Experience with standard engineering lab equipment.Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer: Leadership of small technical teams, including technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination and preparation of detailed technical team reportsExperience with Linux, C, MATLAB, Python programming languagesExperience with fiber optic methodologies, standards, inspection criteria, equipment, and toolsExperience conducting failure investigations and providing recommendations to address systemic issues and to prevent recurrenceFamiliarity with hardware compliance of Raytheon Quality Notes, J-STD-001, and ISO9001/AS9100 standardsExperience with PRISM, SAP, and CMES Strong communication skills including report writing and presentations. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
