This role sits within a practice that regularly advises financial institutions, fintech companies, and payments platforms on regulatory exposure, product development, and government scrutiny. Openings are available in New York, Chicago, Austin, Los Angeles, and San Francisco Role Summary You will work on a mix of regulatory counseling, enforcement matters, and compliance strategy for clients operating in the financial services and payments ecosystem. The work spans: Advising fintech companies and financial institutions on payment products and regulatory risk Handling state and federal regulatory inquiries and investigations Counseling clients on licensing, money transmission, and compliance obligations Supporting rulemaking analysis and regulatory strategy Working with clients navigating consumer financial protection statutes and related regulatory frameworks Candidate Profile 3 to 5 years of experience in financial regulatory, fintech, or consumer financial services work Familiarity with statutes such as FCRA, FDCPA, ECOA, SCRA, MLA, TILA, EFTA, GLBA, and TCPA Experience advising financial services or fintech clients on compliance and regulatory exposure Strong academic credentials and clear, precise writing Active bar admission in the state of the office you are joining Why This Role This practice advises clients at the center of the evolving payments and fintech market.
