You will be a trusted advisor to customer leaders, helping them define and pursue transformation priorities across manufacturing science, technology transfer, operational performance, quality, and broader digital manufacturing capabilities.You will work with account teams, solution specialists, technical experts, and leadership to create pipeline, shape complex opportunities, and convert them into measurable business growth. You will be responsible and required to engage with senior executives while also bringing the functional depth to guide strategic manufacturing conversations.This is an opportunity to help shape a high-growth business at the intersection of life sciences, manufacturing, AI, and platform transformation. You will have the chance to work with leading customers on some of their most important manufacturing challenges, while helping build a unique business for Medidata and Dassault Systèmes.This role is well suited to candidates coming from:life sciences manufacturing transformation consultingindustry leadership roles in Medical Device manufacturingsolution advisory / pre-sales / strategic development roles with deep manufacturing credibilityKey ResponsibilitiesBuild a go-to-market strategy to grow Medidata's life sciences manufacturing business in North AmericaIdentify, qualify, shape, and promote strategic manufacturing opportunities across a defined territory and account setPartner with account teams to develop account plans, customer engagement strategies, and opportunity pursuit plansEngage senior customer stakeholders, including operational, technical, digital, and executive leaders, on their manufacturing transformation prioritiesLead consultative discussions, workshops, and working sessions to uncover customer needs, frame business problems, and shape solution approachesTranslate customer challenges into compelling value-led solution narratives across manufacturing, quality, and related platform capabilitiesDrive pipeline creation and support deal progression through the full sales cycle in partnership with sales leadership and cross-functional teamsDeliver high-quality presentations and business discussions from practitioner level through to C-suiteAct as a trusted advisor on key life sciences manufacturing topics such as technology transfer, process scalability, operational performance, plant/network, and digital manufacturing transformationCollaborate across sales, solution consulting, product, marketing, services, and partner teams to strengthen customer messaging, solution relevance, and deal executionSupport strategic proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and executive-level business casesRepresent Medidata / Dassault Systèmes in customer forums, industry events, conferences, and thought leadership activitiesProvide feedback on customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics to help refine strategy and prioritiesExperience, Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:Strong expertise in life sciences manufacturing, ideally spanning areas such as manufacturing science and technology, technology transfer, process development, digital manufacturing, operational excellence, or quality/manufacturing transformationStrong structured problem-solving skills and the ability to shape ambiguous customer challenges into practical, value-led opportunitiesProven experience in a customer-facing role such as consulting, advisory, solution leadership, business development, or enterprise sales within life sciencesDemonstrated success influencing or supporting complex sales pursuits, transformation programs, or strategic account growthStrong Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospectsWork cross-functionally in a matrixed environment and mobilize internal teams around customer opportunitiesOwnership and independence in a growth-oriented environmentComfort working at the intersection of business, operations, and technologyPreferred Experience10+ years of experience in life sciences manufacturing, consulting, transformation, solution advisory, enterprise software, or related customer-facing positionsExperience working with pharmaceutical, biotech, CDMO, or medtech customersExperience with manufacturing systems, digital platforms, integrations, and/or broader manufacturing technology ecosystemsExperience selling or supporting enterprise software or complex transformation solutions using a structured value-based sales approachExperience working with system integrators, alliance partners, resellers, or technology partnersBachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field preferredThe salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $114,000-$155,000.Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
