Role:

• We are currently hiring a Senior Data Engineer in Medellin, Colombia with strong background in

Data Modelling and Visualization. This is a remote opportunity but as we build more presence in


Colombia our intention is to meet on Fridays' for lunch or even work out of a co-working space


periodically to spend time in person.

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze client's business requirements to design and implement effective data

solutions.

• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions using

SQL, Python, and dbt.

• Design and optimize data models utilizing medallion data architecture and advanced data modelling

techniques to support client reporting and analytics needs.

• Comfortable to travel to meet customers in the US and go deeper on projects
• Implement best practices in data engineering to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable data

solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration and visualization.
• Proactive communications to provide project updates and address any issues or concerns.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis. Experience with

Streamlit is highly desirable.

• Experience with data warehouse platforms like Snowflake and Google BigQuery is highly desirable.
• Robust understanding of medallion data architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) and advanced

data modeling techniques. Extensive experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling is


highly desirable.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to newchallenges.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to proactively engage with clients.
• Getting things done, knowing how to unblock yourself, communicating, and engaging with

customers proactively with minimal supervision.
