Enjoy a supportive culture and impactful responsibilities.Job DescriptionSenior Fund Accountant OverviewServe as a Senior Fund Accountant, managing fund accounting operations and ensuring compliance with established procedures and deadlines.Collaborate with clients to understand fund structures, operating agreements, and standard operating procedures.Coordinate team tasks related to capital calls, distributions, valuations, and financial reporting.Mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth and skill development.Prepare and review quarterly financial reports and letters for submission to senior management.Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve processes and training.Ensure compliance with external document control policies and regulatory requirements.Maintain positive interactions with internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients and limited partners.Senior Fund Accountant Key Responsibilities & DutiesManage fund accounting tasks, including journal entries, financial statement preparation, and management fee calculations.Coordinate and oversee fund closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Communicate priorities and coordinate workload distribution among team members.Prepare and review quarterly financial reports and correspondence for client directors.Monitor and ensure compliance with external policies and document control standards.Proactively identify operational issues and implement effective solutions to enhance efficiency.Mentor and coach junior team members, promoting skill development and professional growth.Interact confidently with clients, limited partners, and external parties, fostering strong relationships.Senior Fund Accountant Job RequirementsBachelor of Science (BS) degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in fund accounting; 7 years preferred.Proficiency in financial reporting, journal entries, and fund closing processes.Strong understanding of management fee calculations and limited partnership agreements.Excellent communication skills for interacting with senior team members and external stakeholders.Ability to mentor and coach junior team members effectively.Experience in identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing process improvements.Familiarity with compliance standards and external document control policies.
