Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Child and Adolescent Mental Health Counselor to join our esteemed team at Golden Lutos Mental and Counseling Services. Work Environment This position is primarily remote, allowing you to balance your professional responsibilities with the convenience of working from home, while also being part of our outpatient office in Everett, Washington. Our environment promotes a healthy work-life balance, and while core working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, flexible evening shifts may be required based on patient needs. This structured yet flexible setting is designed to facilitate both productivity and personal well-being. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health evaluations to assess the needs and circumstances of children and adolescents seeking help. Design and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate the developmental stages and family dynamics pertinent to each patient. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy to effectively address the diverse mental health challenges young individuals may encounter. Facilitate family therapy sessions to bolster the support systems for our patients, fostering a collaborative environment for growth and recovery. Engage in regular consultations with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care. Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, maintaining calm and effective communication in high-stress situations. Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their journeys. Maintain detailed and confidential documentation within our electronic health record (EHR) system, adhering to all legal and ethical standards. Participate actively in team meetings and professional development activities, sharing insights and learning from peers. Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to enhance treatment modalities. Patient Population / Client Focus Our primary focus is on children and adolescents dealing with various mental health conditions, including but not limited to: anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. By fostering a warm and supportive environment, we aim to build trust and rapport with our young clients, which is critical for effective therapeutic relationships and positive outcomes. Qualifications A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Washington State. A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred. In-depth understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and familiarity with a range of evidence-based treatment modalities. Strong experience in providing individual and family therapy. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a nurturing and child-focused approach to therapy. Proficiency in electronic health record systems and other relevant software to ensure efficient documentation and tracking of patient progress. A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Preferred Experience Experience in a similar role within a mental health or psychiatric setting, particularly focusing on children and adolescents. Knowledge of local resources and community services available to support families and individuals. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
