About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with United Health Care Staffing to find a qualified Cath Lab Tech in Houston, Texas, 77001!

Job Responsibilities

• Procedure Support: Scrub in, circulate, and monitor complex diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures (e.g., angioplasties, stents, pacemaker insertions, and structural heart procedures).

• Hemodynamic Monitoring: Operate specialized physiological monitoring systems to track, record, and interpret patient hemodynamic data and vital signs during cases.

• Equipment Operation: Maintain, prepare, and operate high-tech imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy (X-ray) systems, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), and fractional flow reserve (FFR) devices.

• Patient Care & Safety: Assist in positioning patients, maintaining strict sterile fields, preparing access sites, and monitoring for adverse reactions.

Requirements

Job Requirements

• Certification: Active RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or ARRT(R) with a VI (Vascular Interventional) or CI (Cardiac Interventional) credential.

• License: Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license issued by the Texas Medical Board (if ARRT route).

• Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of recent, independent experience working in a high-volume cardiac catheterization lab.

• Life Support: Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.

• On-Call: Ability to participate in a mandatory rotating on-call schedule (including nights, weekends, and holidays) with a 30-minute response window.
