AI and Application Development Engineer – Vice President The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend traditional backend development expertise with emerging AI technologies. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deploy high‑performance applications using Java and Spring Boot, coupled with MongoDB for data persistence. Job Overview Lead applications systems analysis and programming activities, ensuring that application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint while integrating AI agents and prompt engineering to enhance application intelligence and automation. Responsibilities Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals and identify necessary system enhancements for new products and process improvements. Resolve high‑impact problems and projects through in‑depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards. Provide expertise in application programming and ensure adherence to architecture standards. Develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards, utilizing advanced knowledge of system flow. Develop comprehensive knowledge of how business, architecture, and infrastructure areas integrate to accomplish business goals. Perform in‑depth analysis to define issues and develop innovative solutions. Serve as an advisor or coach to mid‑level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary. Utilize AI‑powered code analysis tools to pre‑scan code for potential bugs, security vulnerabilities, performance bottlenecks, and style deviations. Develop, integrate, and deploy AI agents to enhance application intelligence and automation. Apply prompt engineering methodologies to optimize interactions with large language models and other AI systems. Utilize the Google ADK (Agent Development Kit) to build, test, and deploy AI‑powered features and applications. Required Technical Skills Extensive experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security). Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices. Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Maven/Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes). Proficiency with Git and standard branching strategies (e.g., Gitflow). Familiarity with web services (SOAP/REST), XML, JSON. Demonstrable exposure and practical experience with AI development tools such as Devin, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Anti Gravity, and Codex. Angular experience is a plus. Recommended Qualifications 6–12 years of relevant experience in applications development or system analysis roles. Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications. Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of applications development. Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate. Demonstrated leadership and project management skills. Consistent demonstration of clear and concise written and verbal communication. Demonstrable experience with AI agents, including design, implementation, and integration into software systems. Familiarity with the Google ADK or similar AI development kits/platforms. Education Bachelor’s degree, university degree, or equivalent experience.
