Registered Nurse - Peritoneal Dialysis

Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis in a specialized renal medicine unit. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer peritoneal dialysis treatments as per established protocols
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and clinical conditions
• Provide education and support to patients and their families
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Utilize EMR (Cerner) for accurate patient documentation and communication

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN licensure in North Carolina
• BLS certification
• Experience in peritoneal dialysis preferred
• Certification as a peritoneal dialysis nurse is a plus
• Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred
