Surgery Scheduler/Precertification Coordinator - SW SURGICAL CENTER

DEFINITION Under the supervision of the Office Supervisor, responsible for obtaining insurance prerecertification/verification and billing information on inpatient and outpatient accounts. Responsible for transcribing pertinent data through the accounts receivable system. Must demonstrate good relations with the public and co‑workers. Must be able to work with limited supervision, coordinate with other personnel, and serve as a backup for registration and pre‑admissions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prefer familiarity with medical terminology. Prefer two years experience in the clerical and public relation field. One year computer and typing experience preferred. High school diploma with major courses of study in typing, filing, office methods, and computer skills preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
