Manufacturing Engineer I

Responsibilities Assist in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes to ensure operational excellence. Support production line set‑up and troubleshooting to maintain smooth operations and minimize disruptions. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing issues while contributing to process documentation and standardization for consistency and quality. Utilize CAD software to create and modify designs for manufacturing equipment and processes. Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repair to reduce downtime and maintain productivity. Analyze production data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience). 0‑2 years of experience in manufacturing or a related field. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, systems, and engineering principles. Working knowledge of CAD (Computer‑Aided Design) software. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to assist in process documentation and standardization. Ability to support production line set‑up and troubleshooting. Familiarity with equipment troubleshooting and repair. Good communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Proficiency in additional engineering software tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Proven track record in a space or aerospace manufacturing setting. In‑depth understanding of spacecraft subsystems including structures, mechanisms, avionics, propulsion, and high‑pressure systems. Demonstrated ability to create and implement processes from the ground up with strong communication skills to engage a diverse team. Successful introduction of new aerospace hardware systems into manufacturing, testing, and production environments. Experience implementing AS9100 quality standards. Proficiency in onboarding MES, PLM, and ERP systems. Compensation Pay Range: $73,231.00 – $100,714.00. Base compensation is determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, education, experience, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
