Human Resources Manager

Human Resource Manager Location: Fall River Health Services Hot Springs, SD Schedule: Monday - Friday 40 hours a week. Fall River Health Services is seeking an experiencedHuman Resource Manager to lead our Human Resources department. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic leadership with hands-on HR operations. The successful candidate will oversee recruitment, employee relations, payroll, benefits, compliance, and workforce development while helping create a positive and engaging workplace culture. What You'll Do Lead all Human Resources operations and supervise HR department staff.Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain exceptional healthcare professionals and support staff.Manage employee relations, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary processes.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare regulations.Oversee employee benefits administration, including enrollments, open enrollment, COBRA, and billing reconciliation.Administer FMLA, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and employee leave programs.Maintain I-9 compliance and employee personnel records.Oversee the bi-weekly payroll process, ensuring payroll accuracy and timely processing.Coordinate year-end payroll reporting, including W-2s and 1099s.Monitor employee evaluations, compensation adjustments, and salary administration.Complete annual compensation surveys and retirement plan reporting.Oversee quarterly CMS Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) reporting.Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.Coordinate employee training, compliance education, and professional development programs.Partner with organizational leaders to support employee engagement and organizational success. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.Five or more years of Human Resources experience, with supervisory experience preferred.Healthcare Human Resources experience preferred.Strong knowledge of employment law, payroll, benefits administration, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, COBRA, workers' compensation, and HR compliance.Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
