What You ll Do:

• Provide advanced clinical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients with a focus on compassionate, patient-first care
• Assist in cardiac surgeries, including performing endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting when needed
• Manage ICU and surgical patient care, including rounding and evaluation in CVICU, floor, and clinic settings
• Participate in two full-day clinics weekly, with additional patient consultations on other days
• Rotate through operating room coverage Monday through Friday
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary team
• Order, interpret, and evaluate lab and diagnostic tests to inform patient care decisions
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and follow-up strategies
• Prescribe medications and perform bedside procedures as appropriate
• Document all care accurately and promptly in compliance with policies
• Demonstrate expert clinical judgment and operate independently under physician supervision
• Maintain continuing medical education to meet licensing and certification requirements
• Adapt effectively within a high-stress, dynamic clinical environment

What You Need:

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado or ability to obtain
• Certification in BLS (AHA) and DEA registration
• 2+ years ICU or cardiac surgical experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving healthcare setting
