3rd Shift Sanitation Associate

Sanitation SpecialistResponsible for the day-to-day implementation of pre-operational procedures by establishing and maintaining sanitary conditions throughout all Truvant's facilities. This is accomplished by following sanitation procedures, SSOPs, and work instructions. While working in production, personnel are responsible for inspection, packaging and palletizing products to Truvant and customer specifications.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Daily cleaning and sanitizing of production rooms, pack-off areas, and packaging equipmentCleaning and sanitizing of any other areas assigned by the sanitation supervisor.Disassembling and assembling of equipment and production lines.Operate a floor buffer and scrubber.Fill out required sanitation pre-operational reports.Complete all required paperwork that applies to specified areas and productsUnderstand palletization of each productIdentify defects in packages/pouchesOperate a pallet jackOther duties as assignedRequirements:Education, Training & Experience:No previous experience requiredOn the job training providedSkills, Knowledge & Abilities:Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and proceduresAbility to pay close attention to detailSkill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the jobAbility to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departmentsAbility to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidentialAbility to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP's, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defensePhysical And Environmental Requirements:Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communicationMust be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workersMust be able to reach, touch, grasp.Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.Must be able to Climb, Stoop/Kneel, Lift, Pull and Push.Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor.Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products.Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 40 pounds.Travel Requirements:0% - Optional travel may be offered to support business needs
