Recreation Assistant Day and Evening Shift Available Mount Vernon, New York About the Recreation Assistant Role As a Recreation Assistant at the Westchester Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our patients and residents. Recreation Assistant Responsibilities Assist with planning and implementing recreational activities, social events, and outings for patients and residents Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure activities align with individual patient needs and goals Provide support with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as needed Assist with mealtime, including setting tables, serving patients, and cleaning up Maintain a clean and organized environment, including the recreation room and common areas Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and staff Recreation Assistant Requirements Previous experience in a healthcare or social services setting preferred Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods What We Offer Competitive hourly rate Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and residents Collaborative and supportive work environment Ongoing training and professional development opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr Westchester Center
