RN Supervisor - Long Term Care

Schedule: Full-Time Evenings (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), 5x8s, every other weekend, must run through holidays.

Assignment Details: 22 to 26-week contracts.

Requirements:

Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure
Minimum of 1-year nursing experience in long-term care
Supervisory or clinical lead experience over multiple units (charge-only experience not accepted)
BLS certification (American Heart Association or RQI only)
CPI obtained within 90 days of hire

Roles & Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, oversee the operation of the nursing units.
Provide clinical supervision to nursing staff on respective shifts.
Assure quality resident care through teaching and supervision of staff.
Communicate with nursing leadership regarding identified or potential unit issues and collaborate on resolutions.
Make administrative decisions in the absence of nursing leadership, focusing on sound judgment and quality care.

Compliance / Notes:

Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Required tasks may involve contact with blood, body fluids, and tissue.
