Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled RN with oncology specialization to provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in oncology nursing and adhere to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and other targeted treatments while monitoring patient responses
• Interpret EKG strips and perform rhythm calculations to manage cardiac concerns during treatment
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for oncology patients
• Educate patients and families on treatment protocols, side effects, and self-care strategies
• Maintain compliance with all clinical documentation and regulatory requirements
• Float to alternative units as needed, providing versatile nursing support

Qualifications:

• Hold a current NJ or Compact RN license and be in hand at submission
• Possess at least 1 year of oncology nursing experience
• Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting cardiac rhythms and performing basic arrhythmia exams
• Be willing to work every other weekend and flexible hours, including night shifts
• Hold BLS certification prior to start date
• Have valid Nursys profile for RN submissions
