Sr. Accountant

Robert Half Management Resources is looking for a Sr. Accountant to help one of our clients on an interim basis. This position offers the opportunity to manage essential accounting activities, deliver meaningful financial analysis, and contribute to high-priority operational initiatives in a hybrid environment. The role is well suited to an organized individual who can work independently, communicate effectively, and maintain accuracy across multiple deadlines.Responsibilities:• Prepare and review detailed financial reports, translating accounting data into clear insights for business decision-making.• Perform variance analysis against budget and actual results, while helping maintain rolling cash flow projections.• Record and validate complex journal entries supported by schedules, reconciliations, and underlying documentation.• Reconcile general ledger activity and bank accounts, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.• Support month-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely completion of accounting deliverables.• Assist with audit preparation by organizing schedules, responding to information requests, and supplying required documentation.• Contribute to data validation efforts tied to system-related project work by comparing records and confirming accuracy between datasets.• Identify inefficiencies in existing accounting processes and recommend practical improvements to strengthen controls and workflow effectiveness.
