Accountant/CPA Advisor: Founding Member, Startup Referral Program

Palus is backed by Y Combinator (W26). We are building a product that lets CPA and bookkeeping firms offer fractional CFO services to their business clients: high-quality work, folded into what your firm already offers, with no new hires or systems to deal with. It is a new service line that adds revenue and makes your clients stickier.

We are launching a referral program for accounting firms, and before we do, we are forming an advisory board of about ten accountants to help us build it. The people on the board will be the program's founding members. This is an advisory role, not a job and not a client-facing position. We want your time and your input, and we will pay for both.

• How to structure program economics to provide maximum value for firms like yours

• What the handoff and integrations between your firm and ours should look like
\n
• Who else should be on the board, and introductions where it makes sense
\n

Who we're looking for

\n

Owners and partners of CPA, accounting, or bookkeeping firms that serve small and mid-sized businesses. You own the client relationships and decide what your firm offers. Firm size and industry focus do not matter to us; we would rather hear from a range of firms.

Requirements

• You are a partner or owner at your firm
\n
• Your clients include owner-operated businesses doing $1M or more in revenue
\n
• Based in the US
\n
• CPA license is a plus. Not required.
\n

Commitment and compensation

\n

Part-time and remote, anywhere in the US. A quick call with us about once a month, plus occasional questions by email or text; expect no more than one hour a month. This advisory help is compensated. The referral economics are separate; founding members help set them and get them first. We start with a couple of conversations to see if it's a fit, then formalize from there.
