Job Overview

The Interventional Cardiologist position is available within our organization’s Medical Service at the VA St. Louis, MO Health Care System. This role involves delivering comprehensive, compassionate, and high-quality healthcare to all patients, working collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team in both inpatient and outpatient environments. The primary focus will be on diagnosing and treating various heart and vascular conditions through cardiac catheterization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of procedures, including balloon angioplasty, stent placement, heart valve repairs, and the insertion of pacemakers and defibrillators.
• Conduct medical evaluations and oversee the overall management of patients in conjunction with other healthcare professionals.
• Provide supervision and educational support to Internal Medicine Residents and medical students affiliated with our organization.
