Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

Specialty: Acute Care NP with Cardiac background
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Contract Length: 6 months ongoing
Shift Details: 6:30a-6:30p
Schedule: 3 12hr shifts/week- days will vary, 1 Saturday/Sunday every 4th weekend. No call
Work Details:
• Support Staff: APPS work our surgeons, fellows, and residents.
• Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: looking for 2 full time NPs for 6 months
• Patients per day: NP:Pt Ratio 8-9 max 10
• Patient Population/Age: Adult Cardiac Surgery Step Down Unit
• Department Description: Patients on this unit are typically post cardiac surgery patients: CABG, AVR, MVR, Heart Transplant, LVAD are examples of surgical procedures
• EMR: Epic
• Hospital Bed size: 1200. 39 beds on the post-operative unit where provider will be working
• Skills Required: Cardiac Surgery NP experience

Practice Setting:
• Academic Training/ Hospital

Requirements:
• Board Certification: ANCC Adult or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or AANP Adult NP
• License Required: Active MO license. Prefer local candidates.
• Certifications Preferred: Adult or Acute Care
• Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS

Credentialing Timeframe: 30-45 days
