Full Time - Sales Specialist - Flooring - Day

Key Responsibilities Provide Smart customer service by proactively seeking out customers to understand their needs, answering questions, and communicating the advantages of Lowe’s products and services. Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within the department, providing project estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing and tracking orders, and following up to ensure project completion. In the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services. Monitor inventory levels to support sales, working with vendors and other stores to locate merchandise and order replacement stock. Perform price reviews to ensure accurate pricing and proper documentation. Support all checkout functions and respond to calls for assistance. Train associates by conducting on‑the‑job training and coaching on sales floor development. Complete other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 1 year experience in a customer‑facing sales role or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years of external sales experience with 18 months of Lowe’s experience if the education requirement is not met). Experience in sales or customer service with required sales goals or metrics. Basic literacy, writing, and arithmetic skills. Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods. Freely lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without accommodation. Obtain sales‑related licensure or registration if required by law. Preferred Qualifications 1 year experience completing customer sales orders. Experience promoting product‑related services and plans (installation, delivery, credit financing, or extended protection). 2 years designing customized products using 20/20 or CAD systems. Professional certification related to the department. Bi‑lingual skills. Travel Requirements This role does not require regular travel; occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support of neighboring stores. Working Conditions Work may be conducted in both indoor and outdoor environments. Employees may be exposed to varying climates, noise, and physical demands such as lifting and moving equipment. Lift limits vary; single lifts are limited to 75 lbs. Powered equipment may be used with proper training.
