Pharmacy Cashier

Pharmacy Cashiers combine interpersonal and communication skills with a detail-oriented perspective in order to provide both great customer service and support the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. To be successful, the Pharmacy Cashier must be able to work under deadlines in fast-paced environments and capable of juggling many tasks at once, staying organized and tolerate stress. Quantitative skills help as processing payment is a large part of their job.

Position Qualifications

Experience:

• Cashier services, cash collection, credit card transaction and AR functionality of the POS system.
• Retail pharmacy experience a plus.

Education and Training:

• High school diploma.

License, Certification & Registration:

• None.

Other Requirements:

• Proven typing ability and computer skills (Windows Microsoft).
• Outstanding customer service skills, consistently demonstrating a friendly, pleasant and outgoing welcome when greeting anyone entering the pharmacy. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact appropriately with the patients and hospital staff and maintain high level of confidentiality required.
• Good organizational skills. Ability to speak the English language in a clearly understandable manner.
• Ability to troubleshoot/maintain proper operation of point of sale system as well as the RX Retrieve module.
